Alexandra Lashner (née Blessing) is a creative, curious and passionate Account Executive at Frank Advertising.
For most of her pre-teen and teenage years, Alexandra thought she wanted to be an interior designer. Though it wasn’t the right path, public relations was still an excellent fit for her. Given that Frank Advertising is a PR and marketing agency that specializes in kitchen, bath, design and tabletop industries, she was beyond excited to find a niche that perfectly blends her skills with interests in home décor and lifestyle. You can often find her scrolling social media on her client accounts, finding the perfect angle to pitch her clients, designing graphics in Canva and touching every glossy magazine she can get her hands on.
Previously, Alexandra Lashner was a brand strategist within the VIP department at BrandYourself, an online reputation management company that helps people take control of their online presence. She managed a portfolio worth $23-25k per year for roughly ten high-profile clients from a variety of industries such as marketing, entertainment, real estate and more. Alexandra was responsible for developing the campaign brand, the strategy, maintaining the overall relationship with the client, and oversight of all campaign aspects such as websites, blogs, social media posts, and thought leadership pieces from other team members. Most notably, Alexandra has pitched and placed her clients in popular news outlets like Forbes, Entrepreneur, VentureBeat and Fast Company, and negotiated a monthly column in Psychology Today.
Additionally, Alexandra Lashner worked as a digital account manager in the Concierge department of BrandYourself. In the role, she managed online reputations for about 15 clients by writing and posting SEO-friendly blogs, managing client websites, and crafting social media content. She brought on an additional $10k in revenue via client referrals and add-ons while successfully managing her client portfolio worth $10-12k per year. Before she was hired at BrandYourself full time, Alexandra wrote freelance blogs once per week for the VIP department.
While she was freelancing for BrandYourself, Alexandra Lashner was simultaneously interning with Bravo Group, Inc. in Harrisburg, which ranks as the top public relations agency in Pennsylvania according to O’Dwyer’s. While in the role, Alexandra developed research materials to meet client objectives, monitored media for news clips and client mentions, and assisted with special events and appropriate meetings. Her first taste of public relations included taking notes at a press conference given by Pennsylvania Auditor General Eugene DePasquale, as well as writing, pitching, and placing a news release in the York Dispatch and FOX43. She also contributed weekly to the Bravo intern blog, where a few of her pieces are available here.
Alexandra Lashner graduated cum laude from Millersville University of Pennsylvania. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Speech Communications with an option in public relations and a minor in psychology. She is an alum of PRSSA, Phi Sigma Pi, and Her Campus — which she misses the most from her college experience.
Alexandra now resides in Bensalem, Pennsylvania with her loving husband, Jason, and her lively cats, Nola (named for New Orleans, Louisiana) and Benny. When she’s not working, Alexandra enjoys painting her nails as a form of self-care, flipping through fashion or lifestyle magazines, watching her favorite YouTubers, hanging out at bars with friends, catching up on shows with her husband, and dreaming about getting her name in a magazine byline one day. She’s already started pursuing that dream as a blogger for Visit Bucks County and she’s been featured in The Wall Street Journal and Bloomberg Businessweek.
